So... I've come to the conclusion ( a few months ago) that I don't think God likes me very much. I just can't even begin to tell you what has clued me into these thoughts...I expressed to my niece the other day how I don't think I want to live this life anymore.. it's just one thing after the other, I find myself wondering if I'm strong enough and I don't know if I can hang in there. BUT of course I can... tomorrow is another day and I do have a beautiful life. I just don't want to DEAL with it and I'm sure you can all relate to that.
We went on vacation this past week to a dude ranch. It was a family reunion type thing. Our car broke down, maybe 30 miles away....ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I had steam coming out my nose, my ears, my butt... almost every hole possible. Ok.. I need something here, is what I was thinking.... I need a sign that you exist in my life!
1. I am so thankful that we made it as far as we did, because we were behind other family members by about a 1/2 hour....and at this point, we had passed 3 of the families, so we were ahead.
2. Thankful that the 3 families left a lot later then they were supposed too!
3. For the pocket of cell service that we found, so that we able to reach those who just FLEW by us.... yes we got passed and they never noticed us! (i almost broke down at that point) but somehow out in the middle of nowhere, we all had cell service at the time we needed too.
4. I am thankful that Jims Dad and Brother were able to come back and that they know a thing or 2 about cars..
5. That there was a breeze, so were weren't boiling to death in the car while we waited.
6. Thankful that Jims Dad bought the oil we needed to make the car run, to get to the ranch.
7. I am thankful that his parents have triple A so we were able to have the car towed.... ya know why they have that service??? Because this ALWAYS happens to someone in the Knight family.
8. I am thankful that we decided not to worry about this too much and concentrated on having fun while we were there. I had fun!
9. I am so thankful to Jim's sister and her husband for taking care of us and that she is going to drive our car back to us... yes it is still in Utah.
10. I am thankful that Jims brother put the extra back seat in his truck... he had other reasons for it, but we all know why now. ;) He was able to fit our kids in & bring them home.
11. Thankful that that his other sister and bil had room in their car to bring back our stuff with them.
12. That his parents had room to fit the rest of us in their car to bring us home....
13. That because God likes me, all of that was possible.
I went past my normal 10, woo hoo! I will post pics of our fun time there soon....
oh my heavens!! you poor poor things! car troubles make me MAD as well. glad you survived you ho' down =)

James 1:2–4
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
Your not wanting to deal is one of the wonderful family traits we both have inherited called- ABSOLUTE NO PATIENCE...for anything... and let me also remind you that you HAVE and CAN deal with faaaarrrrr worse...you are women hear you ROOOAAAARRRR!!!! 3 DAYS!!!!!
